Have
you ever hear Meulaboh in Aceh Province, Indonesia ?
Many
people know Aceh only Banda Aceh and Sabang Island as is the
northernmost point of the Indonesia archipelago and known as kilometer zero.
But if you have a time to explore Aceh Province more, I think you should visit
Meulaboh too. Meulaboh was the
capital of West Aceh Regency, Indonesia, it is located about 245 km
southeast of Banda Aceh in Sumatra Island. In 2004, Meulaboh is among the
hardest hit areas by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and was hit by Tsunami.
To get Meulaboh
you can take flight to Banda Aceh from Jakarta, Medan, Kuala Lumpur or Penang
and then take car rental to road trip from Banda Aceh to Meulaboh about 4 hours
driving depend on traffic situation. Or From Medan you can take a flight to Cut
Nyak Dhien Nagan Raya Airport as the nearest Airport to Meulaboh.

Meulaboh
has some good beaches to enjoy the scenary and finding a peaceful place to
relax. Standing on black sandy beaches and watching
the sun slowly set over the Indian Ocean is a near perfect image. You can enjoy
the radiant colors in the sky and feel the waves crasing onto shore. I think
Meulaboh is one of good place to enjoy the scenery over Indian Ocean and
the sunset.
